METLEN Energy & Metals in Zug, Switzerland, seeks a Senior Software Developer to join the International Energy Supply & Trading division. You will design, develop, and maintain business-critical applications supporting quantitative analysis, market data management, and energy trading decisions.

You will build end-to-end solutions across backend and frontend, leveraging Rust and Python, with Docker/Linus-based deployments and data pipelines.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in full-stack software development, with strong proficiency in Rust and/or Python.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL development, and database schema design.
• Experience with Docker, Linux environments, and containerized application deployments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions from development through production.
• A pragmatic approach to software development, delivering high-quality, maintainable solutions.
• Experience within energy trading, commodity trading, or financial markets will be considered an asset.

• Developing and maintaining end-to-end software solutions across backend services, frontend applications, and data pipelines.
• Building and enhancing backend applications using Rust and Python, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Designing, maintaining, and optimizing automated market data ingestion pipelines while ensuring data quality and integrity.

• Continuously improving application performance, code quality, and system architecture through pragmatic and scalable software engineering practices.
