Job summary

Nebius is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on the rendering infrastructure of a novel search engine tailored for agentic AI consumption. You will focus on loading modern web pages in a patch-built browser, removing unnecessary components to drive cost down while keeping essential scripts intact.

You will work inside Chromium to prune features, ensure compatibility, and optimize the build, performance, and reliability so content remains accessible to indexing and retrieval systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production systems in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong C++ experience in large, performance-critical codebases (Chromium/Blink/V8).
• Experience with Linux, profiling tools (perf, flame graphs) and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with browser engines, web rendering pipelines, and network services.

Responsibilities

• Tune Chromium components to reduce CPU, memory and startup costs per page.
• Strip unused features for agent workloads while preserving script execution.
• Ensure compatibility so sites render and behave correctly after changes.
• Profile browser fleets and optimize process models and memory usage.
• Help build production systems for launching, pooling, and monitoring browsers.
