Job summary

Nebius Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on the rendering infrastructure of a novel search engine designed for agentic AI consumption. You will load modern web pages in a custom browser patch inside Chromium, removing unneeded parts to lower costs while keeping essential script execution intact.

You will work across Blink, V8, and the network stack to ensure high-quality content reaches indexing and retrieval systems at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production systems.
• Expert in C++ in a performance-critical codebase (Chromium, Blink, or V8).
• Experience with Chromium architecture and rendering pipeline.
• Building, debugging and shipping patched browser builds.
• Familiarity with Linux process isolation and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Modify Chromium core to cut CPU, memory and startup cost per page.
• Strip Chromium for agent workloads while preserving essential scripts.
• Ensure browser compatibility with the web as sites are loaded.
• Profile and tune fleets of browsers for memory, CPU and startup performance.
• Lead production system buildout: launches, pooling, recycling and monitoring.
