You will collaborate with scientists and engineers to turn complex lab needs into scalable software and hardware architectures, leveraging AI-driven tooling where applicable.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in software engineering and hardware integration.
• Experience in liquid-handling or lab automation platforms.
• Proficient in C# or Python for software development.
• Familiar with wet-lab workflows to translate needs into engineering solutions.
• Prototyping with CNC milling, laser cutting, and CAD.
• Clear communicator with multidisciplinary teams.
• Skilled with APIs/SDKs for lab software ecosystems.
• Experience designing workflow orchestration or scheduling systems.

Aufgaben

• Design, program and troubleshoot high-throughput lab workflows.
• Build orchestration systems, hardware abstraction layers, and instrument drivers for unattended operation.
• Implement logging, metrics, and alerts across hardware and software to identify failures and fix root causes.
• Build systems to maintain a digital representation of the lab, including sample identity and instrument state.
• Manage hardware requirements, site constraints, reagent selection, and work cell integration from design to deployment.
• Collaborate with software engineers, automation scientists, and hardware engineers to translate processes into architecture.
