Job summary

Infotree Global Solutions Inc. in Zurich is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the project quality function on a major engineering and construction project.

You will implement QA/QC systems, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement across operations while collaborating with project leadership and engineering teams to ensure safety and quality standards are met throughout the handover process.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in quality management, quality assurance or quality control within construction or engineering.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Control or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable professional experience.
• Strong understanding of quality management principles and the delivery requirements of large-scale, high-quality construction projects.
• Proven track record of leading quality teams and delivering measurable project outcomes.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate individuals, manage performance and promote accountability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary project teams and organisational levels.
• Strong strategic planning and practical execution capabilities.
• Experience developing, implementing and monitoring quality procedures, reporting systems and performance metrics.
• Relevant IT skills and confidence working with digital quality management systems and reporting tools.
• Ability to identify risks, resolve issues and implement effective improvements in a fast-paced, deadline-driven project environment.

Responsibilities

• Quality Management: Establish, implement and maintain project quality procedures, controls and systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
• Health and Safety: Promote a safe working environment and lead by example, ensuring that safety standards are upheld across the quality team and wider project operations.
• Quality Assurance and Improvement: Lead the quality team in developing effective approaches to improve quality assurance coverage, strengthen processes and reduce recurring issues.
• Quality Performance Reporting: Monitor, analyse and publish weekly quality indicators, providing clear reports and recommendations to project management and key stakeholders.
• Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement: Gather and evaluate quality feedback, identify trends and areas for improvement, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Quality Systems and Documentation: Ensure quality systems, procedures and documentation are accessible, up to date and understood by all relevant project personnel.
• Testing and Handover: Establish test packs and collaborate with package leads to ensure systems are tested, documented and ready for handover in line with project schedules.
• Team Leadership: Manage, motivate and develop quality team members, setting clear expectations and maintaining accountability for performance.
• Resource Planning: Forecast staffing requirements, agree team resource levels and ensure appropriate quality coverage throughout the project lifecycle.
• Forward Planning: Maintain a rolling eight-week look-ahead plan to identify project constraints, monitor resolution progress and minimise potential delays.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, construction and project management teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated into all stages of project delivery.
• Lean Construction: Play an active role in the Lean Construction team, supporting efficient working practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties associated with the role as required.
