Job summary

OnlineDoctor AG is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to take full ownership of verification and testing for our medical device web application and backend services. The role combines manual and automated testing, with a focus on risk-based coverage and reliable automation integrated into CI/CD.

You will collaborate across Product and Tech, ensuring privacy, reliability, and evidence-backed verification for critical functionality.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual testing and test automation for a product or major area.
• Ability to define risk-based testing approaches and decide what to test and why.
• Experience testing web applications and APIs, including authentication and integrations.
• Ability to investigate problems across the stack and collaborate with developers on fixes.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows and making results actionable.
• Experience establishing test data and environments to ensure traceability of requirements and results.

Responsibilities

• Define a risk-based testing approach and target release readiness with evidence-based recommendations.
• Plan and conduct exploratory testing and risk-based regression for features, integrations, and critical journeys.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and engineers to clarify requirements, edge cases, usability, accessibility, and testability early in development.
• Build and maintain automated API, integration, and end-to-end tests and integrate checks into CI/CD.
• Establish and maintain test environments, representative data, and reporting to support day-to-day testing.
• Maintain a practical test case management system that links requirements, tests, results, defects, and verification evidence.
