Fortil in Switzerland, Visp, is seeking a Senior Project Planner (M/F) to lead planning for large pharmaceutical CAPEX projects from design to start-up. Based onsite in Visp, you will manage schedules, baselines, and cross-functional inputs across Engineering, Construction and CQV teams.

Candidate should have 10+ years in project planning for complex CAPEX, strong Primavera P6 expertise, and experience in Life Sciences. Fluency in English is required.

Job Description

In Switzerland, in the Canton of Valais, we are looking for a Senior Project Planner (M/F) to join our Life Sciences team. The position is based onsite in Visp and involves supporting large and complex CAPEX projects within the pharmaceutical industry, from engineering through construction, commissioning and start-up.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Establish and maintain project baselines and schedule-basis documentation.
• Coordinate planning activities across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Qualification.
• Analyse the critical path and near-critical activities and identify potential schedule risks.
• Monitor project progress, deviations, trends and schedule variances.
• Develop recovery plans and corrective actions in collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Lead scheduling meetings and interactive planning sessions.
• Coordinate inputs from Engineering Partners, contractors and internal project teams.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency and reliability of schedule information.
• Prepare progress reports, schedule analyses and management-level presentations.
• Support resource planning and project forecasting.
• Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Construction and CQV / Start-up teams.
• Navigate a complex project organisation and proactively manage multiple stakeholders.

Your Profile

• 10+ years of experience in Project Planning / Scheduling within complex industrial CAPEX projects.
• Proven experience on major CAPEX projects above CHF 200 million.
• Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 is essential.
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, ideally from design through construction, commissioning and start-up.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or Life Sciences industry is strongly preferred.
• Experience working within or alongside an EPCM organisation is an advantage.
• Experience with CQV and Start-up activities is highly appreciated.
• Strong critical-path, schedule-risk and progress-analysis capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English.
• Autonomous, structured and comfortable working in a fast-paced international project environment.
