Your Mission :
As a Senior CAPEX Planner, you will be responsible for planning and monitoring CAPEX investment projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from the design phase through to facility commissioning and start-up. You will ensure the reliability of project schedules, forecasts, and performance indicators to support successful project delivery. Working closely with project teams and key stakeholders, you will identify schedule-related risks, propose appropriate mitigation measures, and provide clear visibility on project progress while ensuring compliance with planning standards and best practices within a complex biopharmaceutical environment.
Your Responsibilities :
- Develop, maintain, and update integrated CAPEX project schedules from early design studies through facility start-up.
- Establish baseline schedules and ensure alignment with project scope, resources, milestones, and execution strategies.
- Monitor project progress, analyze deviations from the approved baseline schedule, and assess potential impacts on project timelines.
- Perform critical path analyses and evaluate schedule risks in order to recommend mitigation and recovery plans.
- Prepare and present progress reports, dashboards, trend analyses, and performance metrics.
- Facilitate planning workshops and coordinate activities between Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning teams, and Project Managers.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of scheduling data and update project completion forecasts.
- Track scope changes, delays, deviations, and their impact on project timelines.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning, reporting, and project control processes.
Your Profile :
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in planning large-scale CAPEX industrial projects, ideally within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or industrial sectors.
- Proven experience on investment projects exceeding CHF 20 million, including design, construction, qualification, and commissioning phases.
- Experience working in EPCM environments and on complex multidisciplinary projects.
- Strong experience within the pharmaceutical industry and on major CAPEX programs exceeding CHF 300 million.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and solid knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- Excellent Excel skills and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Good understanding of Project Controls principles, forecasting, risk management, and change management.
- Fluent English is required; German is considered a strong asset.
