Job summary

Arup in Zurich seeks a Senior Project Manager SIT to lead complex, high-value building projects with international scope. You will steer programmes, cost control, and procurement while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing client relationships as the primary contact for project delivery.

The role requires 5+ years of experience on large-scale projects (>CHF 10-15m), deep knowledge of the Swiss market, and fluency in English with advanced German (B2).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience delivering medium to large-scale building projects (ideally >CHF 10-15m).
• Professional qualification in a construction-related discipline.
• Deep knowledge of the Swiss construction market, regulations, procurement phases, and industry standards.
• Fluency in English and advanced German (minimum B2).
• Experience within SIT sector—Data Centres, Life Sciences, laboratories, or high-voltage facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex SIT building projects from a client-side PM perspective.
• Establish and monitor project programmes, with active cost control, change management and procurement.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, external contractors, and specialist support to meet client brief, schedule and budget.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as the primary contact for project delivery.
• Administer construction contracts, oversee contractor performance, and lead close-out and lessons-learned.
• Support business development, advisory services and due diligence to expand Swiss footprint.
