Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Process Design Engineer – Pharma & Life Sciences to support the design, planning, and delivery of advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, including Biotech, OSD, Secondary Manufacturing, and Cell & Gene Therapy plants. You will be involved from early concept development through commissioning and qualification.

• Degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biotechnology, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical plant design and engineering.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical and/or biopharmaceutical production technologies.
• Structured and solution-oriented working style.
• Willingness to travel for business as required.
• Business fluent in German and/or French (B2), ability to work in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the design, planning, and coordination of pharmaceutical process facilities.
• Develop key process documentation, including URS, PFDs, P&IDs, and mass and energy balances.
• Lead teams of process engineers.
• Prepare tender documentation and support bid evaluations.
• Coordinate with vendors post-award to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide support during construction, commissioning, and qualification phases.
• Contribute to investments' cost estimates and project budgeting.

• Lead teams of process engineers

• Provide support during construction, commissioning, and qualification phases
• Contribute to investments' cost estimates and project budgeting
