Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Process Design Engineer – Pharma & Life Sciences to support the design, planning, and delivery of advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, including Biotech, OSD, Secondary Manufacturing, and Cell & Gene Therapy plants. You will be involved from early concept development through commissioning and qualification.

The role requires a degree in a related field, 10+ years in pharma plant design, knowledge of production technologies, and fluency in German and/or

Qualifications

Degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biotechnology, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical plant design and engineering.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical and/or biopharmaceutical production technologies.
Structured and solution-oriented working style.
Willingness to travel for business as required.
Business fluent in German and/or French (B2), ability to work in English.

Responsibilities

Lead and support the design, planning, and coordination of pharmaceutical process facilities.
Develop key process documentation, including URS, PFDs, P&IDs, and mass and energy balances.
Lead teams of process engineers.
Prepare tender documentation and support bid evaluations.
Coordinate with vendors post-award to ensure successful project execution.
Provide support during construction, commissioning, and qualification phases.
Contribute to investments' cost estimates and project budgeting.
