Bühler Group in Switzerland is seeking an experienced automation engineer to join the R&D role within Value Nutrition. You will combine PLC programming, modern software development, and interdisciplinary collaboration to develop reliable, efficient control systems for advanced machinery.

The role involves Siemens automation, C# backend services, Angular frontend, and close cooperation with teams in China. Travel up to 10% and a strong focus on quality, standards, and deployment strategies.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or equivalent in a technical field from a university or a University of Applied Sciences or ETH.
• Several years of experience in industrial automation and PLC programming.
• Solid knowledge of PLC platforms (Siemens), and Rockwell is a plus.
• Good software engineering practices: modular design, testing, version control, and documentation.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement PLC software for machine control systems using Siemens platforms.
• Design and maintain visualization software with C# backend and Angular frontend.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into robust automation and software solutions.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, process, and project teams, including China-based development.
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, optimization, and 3rd-level support remotely and on-site.
