Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a senior Platform Security Engineer to strengthen cloud security, reliability, and secure engineering practices in a remote-first European environment. You will own production security improvements, collaborate with platform engineers, and drive secure-by-default workflows across cloud, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

In this role, you will implement identity management, least-privilege access, and threat modeling while aligning with SRE practices and disaster recovery

Qualifications

• Hands-on platform engineer with production security expertise and measurable improvements.
• Evidence of ownership of security in production cloud environments with impact.
• Strong fundamentals in IAM, SSO/OIDC, secrets management, and least-privilege controls.
• Experience operating Kubernetes in production with workload security and access controls.
• Experience with CI/CD security, security automation, and observability.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, edge tech (VPCs, DNS, TLS, load balancers, WAF).
• Fluency in English and ability to work in a remote-first setup.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure-by-default workflows for production operations.
• Strengthen cloud security practices including IAM, SSO/OIDC, secrets management, and least privileges.
• Secure and operate production Kubernetes environments with proper workload security.
• Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines to detect vulnerabilities early.
• Improve IaC practices, developer tooling, and self-service guardrails for security.
• Manage cloud networking, DNS, TLS, load balancing, CDN, and WAF configurations.
• Define security priorities, incident workflows, and post-incident reviews.
• Enhance platform reliability with SLOs, observability, on-call practices, and incident response.
• Design and test backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Lead resilience exercises and refine recovery playbooks.
