Jobgether SRL is seeking a Senior Engineer, Software to help shape a high-performance search platform in Switzerland. You will design and scale distributed systems handling billions of documents and millions of queries per second with millisecond latency, driving platform modernization and reliability.

You will mentor engineers, improve engineering practices, and contribute to advanced search capabilities including hybrid lexical and vector approaches.

Formación

• Five+ years of experience building, deploying, and operating distributed systems in production.
• Experience with large-scale data platforms, high-throughput systems, or infrastructure supporting demanding workloads.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals (sharding, replication, consistency, partition tolerance).
• Ability to analyze and optimize performance across the technology stack.
• Experience designing data pipelines, real-time processing, or DB internals and architectures.
• Proficiency in building observable, reliable systems with monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics.

Responsabilidades

• Architect, build, and optimize distributed systems handling billions of documents with low latency.
• Lead migration of legacy systems to modern architectures while preserving service continuity.
• Establish robust engineering practices: monitoring, automated testing, deployment automation, incident prevention.
• Profile, diagnose, and resolve performance bottlenecks across infra, databases, pipelines, and apps.
• Design and improve data processing architectures for real-time workloads and reliable data access.
• Strengthen observability with monitoring, alerts, and reliability metrics.
