Job summary

Adnovum is seeking an experienced network professional to design, build, and operate modern network and security solutions based on Cisco technologies. You will own selected technologies, share expertise with the team, and help improve reliability, efficiency, and security across data center and campus networks.

• Completed vocational education in information technology (Informatiker EFZ).
• Several years of professional experience in network engineering.
• Cisco CCNP certification required.
• Experience operating Cisco ACI, SDN, or SDA environments as a plus.
• Knowledge of network security concepts and technologies.
• Strong analytical skills and an interdisciplinary approach to problem‑solving.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Communicative and collaborative personality with the ability to handle challenging situations constructively.
• Five‑day on‑site presence, either at our office or at a client site.

• Contribute to design and operation of Cisco security products (WSA, ISE).
• Design, implement, and configure network and security solutions for client projects.
• Own products and technologies as SME and share knowledge with the team.
• Automate and standardize configurations to improve efficiency and security.
• Create and maintain installation, operation, migration, and backup docs.
• Provide operational support and participate in on‑call to ensure stability.

What you're going to do

Are you an experienced network professional who enjoys combining hands‑on engineering with technical ownership? In this role, you will design, build, and operate modern network and security solutions based on Cisco technologies. From data center and access networks to automation and security, you will work on a broad range of technical challenges, contribute to exciting projects, and take ownership of selected technologies as a subject matter expert. You will also share your expertise with the team and help us continuously improve the reliability, efficiency, and security of our network environments.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Building and operating data center and access network infrastructures (SDN, SDA, Catalyst, Nexus, and Wi‑Fi)
• Contributing to the design and operation of Cisco security products, including Cisco WSA and Cisco ISE
• Designing, implementing, and configuring network and security solutions as part of challenging client projects
• Taking ownership of products and technologies as a subject matter expert and sharing your knowledge within the team
• Automating and standardizing configurations to improve efficiency and security
• Creating and maintaining documentation covering installation, operation, migration, and backup procedures
• Providing operational support and participating in the on‑call service to ensure stable and reliable operations#LI-DNI
