Roche's AI Biology & Translation team is seeking a (Senior) ML Scientist to lead the design of DNA and RNA sequences for nucleic acid medicines. You will translate biological questions into predictive and generative models and drive iterative sequence optimization with wet-lab collaborators.

In this role you will build and fine-tune ML models, design libraries for lab-in-the-loop cycles, analyze experimental readouts, and present findings to cross-functional teams. A Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, ML or related field.
• 0–4 years post-doctoral or industry experience.
• Publications in top-tier journals or ML conferences.
• Excellent communication in English with both computational and experimental scientists.

Responsabilités

• Lead development and application of ML to design nucleic acid medicines.
• Design libraries for lab-in-the-loop optimization and analyze readouts.
