Job summary

AurigaVision AG in Basel, Switzerland, is seeking a Senior Manager Strategic Manufacturing Solutions (Downstream Processing - Biologics) to drive development, optimization and industrialization of DSP processes for biologics, from process development through GMP manufacturing.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Development, Quality, Regulatory Affairs and international sites to ensure operational excellence and manufacturing readiness, leading tech transfer and scale-up into GMP

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering or related.
• Several years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (manufacturing, process development, tech transfer or validation).
• Strong GMP knowledge and experience in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence stakeholders.

In this key role, you will drive the development, optimization, and industrialization of manufacturing processes for biologics, supporting activities from process development through GMP manufacturing.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Process Development, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and international production sites to ensure operational excellence and manufacturing readiness.

• Evaluate, optimize, and enhance manufacturing and operational processes to improve efficiency and compliance


• Lead technology transfer and scale-up activities into GMP manufacturing environments


• Ensure manufacturing readiness through effective process implementation and operational support


• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support during production campaigns and process-related challenges


• Develop and execute strategies to improve process performance, quality, and regulatory compliance


• Collaborate with cross-functional and international stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and projects


• Support customer engagements, technical presentations, audits, inspections, and problem-solving activities

Your profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline.


• Several years of experience within the biopharmaceutical industry (manufacturing, process development, technology transfer, or process validation)


• Strong technical expertise in biologics manufacturing processes, preferably within Downstream Processing (DSP)


• Solid understanding of GMP requirements and experience working in a highly regulated environment


• Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence stakeholders within matrix organizations


• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and sites


• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken


• Willingness to travel to Germany (20% of the time) is required
