Job summary

Alpiq is recruiting for a Green Power Business Development professional to originate, evaluate and advance renewable energy investments across Europe. You will own projects from screening through development and execution, combining investment expertise with hands-on delivery.

You will master project economics, financing structures, and risk-reward analyses while leading cross‑functional teams and external partners to close transactions.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in business development, investments, M&A, infrastructure or corporate development.
• MBA preferred or equivalent; strong academic background in finance or related field.
• Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen and prioritize opportunities; assess value creation and strategic fit.
• Build, review and own financial models, valuations and investment cases.
• Analyze European power markets, regulation and competing projects; translate into recommendations.
• Develop commercial and transaction structures, including acquisitions, partnerships and tolling.
• Lead due diligence and cross-functional coordination across finance, M&A, trading, legal and local teams.
• Draft executive board and investment-committee papers with clear economics and risks.
