Qualifications

• 5+ years trading short-term European power and gas markets.
• Strong understanding of European power market fundamentals.
• Proven risk-taking mindset with disciplined risk management.
• Knowledge of financial options and derivatives.
• Experience trading or optimizing physical assets is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drivers of European power markets: supply/demand, weather, fuel, carbon, renewables, outages, cross-border flows.
• Identify and execute trading opportunities across short-term European power and gas markets.
• Take and actively manage proprietary risk positions within limits.
• Support optimization and value creation of physical generation assets and portfolios.
• Develop market views and translate into trading strategies.
• Monitor and assess optionality in assets and market structures.
• Contribute to AI-enabled trading tools and data-driven decision processes.
