Job summary

Incyte in Morges, Switzerland, seeks a Senior Accountant, General Ledger, Payroll & Treasury to support accounting, payroll accounting and treasury activities across European entities.

The role reports to the Senior Manager Finance, Payroll & Treasury and collaborates with Accounting, Payroll and Treasury teams to ensure timely month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet management and cash forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification accepted
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in a multinational environment with general ledger responsibilities
• Strong IFRS and/or US GAAP knowledge, month-end close, reconciliations and balance sheet management
• Experience in treasury operations, cash management and multi-currency banking
• Experience in a shared services environment is preferred
• Analytical, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP is a plus)
• Fluent in English; another European language is an asset

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly journal entries, including payroll entries and other adjustments across European entities
• Own ledger accounts and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Support close cycles and analyze balance sheet and P&L movements
• Collaborate with Payroll team for payroll accounting
• Process and reconcile banking transactions in SAP and monthly bank reconciliations
• Manage day-to-day treasury activities including cash forecasting and intercompany settlements
• Oversee banking administration and signatory management
• Support statutory audits, SOX testing and internal/external audits
• Drive process improvement and automation across GL, payroll and treasury
• Support finance transformation initiatives and system implementations
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and management reporting
• Promote integrity, collaboration and compliance with company requirements
