Job summary

RTA: The Fleet Success Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the full stack from database to UX, shaping Fleet360 and driving architectural decisions in an AI‑first engineering organization.

This fully remote role requires production‑grade Node.js/TypeScript, strong SQL skills, and a passion for building impactful software for fleet managers and technicians, with occasional travel to our Glendale HQ.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of professional software engineering with ownership of production software.
• Genuinely full stack across browser, API, database, infrastructure, and integrations.
• Node.js and TypeScript at production scale with well‑designed APIs and services.
• Deep relational database ability: design schemas, write and optimize SQL.
• AI-assisted development as a daily workflow with judgment.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end: from idea to production across frontend, API, business logic, and data stores.
• Build great user experiences: responsive, reliable, and maintainable frontend functionality.
• Design and build back‑end systems: scalable services and APIs in Node.js/TypeScript.
• Work AI‑first: use AI tools throughout daily workflow for speed and quality.
• Improve how we build software: experiment with new AI-enabled workflows and practices.
• Build AI-powered product capabilities: features using LLMs, retrieval, and agents.
• Elevate the team: rigorous code reviews, mentorship, and shared standards.
• Improve performance and scalability: identify bottlenecks across browser, network, and database.
• Solve production problems: diagnose issues across full stack and drive resolution.
• Integrate systems: connect third‑party APIs and internal services with reliability in mind.
