Qualifications

• 5+ years designing electronics hardware for safety‑critical products.
• Experience with IEC 61508/ISO 26262 and safety‑related hardware
• Hands‑on schematic, PCB design and fault‑tolerant architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design fault‑tolerant circuits for safety‑critical subsystems and select appropriate safety architectures.
• Implement hardware diagnostics and monitoring to detect dangerous failures.
• Ensure safe state enforcement in hardware upon fault detection.
• Apply Common‑Cause Failure mitigation at component and PCB level.
• Perform FMEDA and compute SIL metrics for hardware designs.
• Create Reliability Block Diagrams and verify SIL targets.
• Select and derate components based on failure data and mission profiles.
• Advise system architects on hardware safety constraints and review PCB layouts.
