Job summary

FORFIRM CONSULTING SAGL seeks an experienced Middle DevOps Engineer to join an international team handling complex infrastructure for Swiss and European clients. You will work with UNIX/Linux environments, middleware platforms, container orchestration, and automation to ensure scalable, reliable services.

The role requires autonomy, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a strong engineering mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in engineering and administration of large UNIX environments (AIX 7 a plus)
• 5+ years of Linux environment engineering and administration (RHEL and Debian)
• Proficient in Bash and Python scripting for automation
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible and Terraform)
• Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting experience
• Fluent English and Italian (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer IBM WebSphere, Open Liberty and middleware across development, test, and production environments
• Support packaging, deployment, and ongoing operational support across multiple environment tiers
• Contribute to design and maintenance of web-based application infrastructure using Java, .NET, or Python
• Knowledge of Kubernetes deployments across production and non-production environments
