Zusammenfassung

Novartis is seeking a Senior Expert I/II in Data Science in Basel to join the Modeling & Simulation Data Science team in Translational Medicine. You will harness ADME/PK/PD data, master in-house ML tools, and advance lead optimization with robust analytics and collaboration across teams.

You will develop and apply reproducible data science methods, build in silico models, and communicate complex insights to diverse stakeholders in English.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree in life sciences with multidisciplinary background
• PhD up to 2 years (Senior Expert I) or 2–4 years experience (Senior Expert II)
• Experience applying reproducible data science methods to drug discovery
• Strong knowledge of statistics, ML and DL
• Experience with data visualization and exploratory analysis
• Programming skills in Python and R with good software practices
• Knowledge of ML/DL libraries
• Knowledge of drug discovery and development processes
• Excellent English communication and ability to translate analytics for stakeholders

Aufgaben

• Act as the M&S Data Science representative on drug discovery and lead optimization programs
• Master and advocate in silico models and in-house tools to accelerate decision making
• Apply data mining to relate structure to molecular properties for small molecules and peptides
• Develop custom in silico models and data strategies for programs
• Increase impact of M&S Data Science through clear communications
• Stay updated on AI/ML developments in ADME and PK/PD
