Zusammenfassung

BioTalent seeks an experienced Cost Engineer to support major pharma & biotech CAPEX projects in Switzerland. Responsibilities include cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and change management for large-scale investments.

The role requires a track record in brownfield and greenfield projects within GMP environments, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams across the project lifecycle.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Project Controls, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Cost Engineering, Project Controls, or Cost Management.
• Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, chemical, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
• Demonstrated experience supporting both brownfield and greenfield projects.
• Strong understanding of project delivery models including EPC, EPCM, and Owner's Project Team environments.
• Experience managing costs across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through construction, commissioning, and handover.

Aufgaben

• Develop, maintain, and manage project budgets, cost reports, forecasts, and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
• Monitor actual costs, commitments, accruals, and cash flow against approved budgets.
• Perform cost performance analysis and identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Ensure accurate cost tracking throughout engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and qualification phases.
• Support monthly cost reporting and project performance reviews with senior stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain CAPEX forecasts for major project investments.
• Develop cost dashboards and reporting packs for project leadership and executive management.
• Monitor project contingency and provide recommendations based on project risk exposure.
• Support investment approval and project sanctioning activities.
