Panda International, a leading global life sciences group, is seeking a Senior Project Cost Engineer to strengthen its Global Engineering Capital Projects team in Switzerland. You will oversee cost management for large-scale pharmaceutical capital projects and coordinate with EPCm partners across facilities.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in cost engineering, strong analytical capabilities, and experience with SAP/SAP Ariba.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Science, or Quantity Surveying.
• 10+ years of cost engineering experience on large pharmaceutical projects (>250M CHF).
• Experience with EPCC contracts and pharma industry beneficial.

About the role

For a leading global life sciences company expanding its manufacturing facilities worldwide, we are looking for an experienced Project Cost Engineer to strengthen the Global Engineering Capital Projects team. You will be responsible for the cost management and cost reporting of large-scale capital projects across the organization's global facilities and infrastructure.

What will you do?

• Support the development of project cost estimates and the transition from estimate to control budget
• Identify and establish all project interfaces (including systems), including protocols, responsibilities and points of contact
• Deliver accurate and timely cost reports to project leadership and stakeholders
• Ensure engineering partners and contractors apply proper methodologies and tools (e.g. Application for Payment process, material trending, productivity analysis, change log)
• Maintain cost reporting (budget, commitments, value of work done, accruals, foreign exchange, estimate to complete/at completion, phasing)
• Support project leadership in managing resources and forecasting overruns or potential savings
• Contribute to project change and risk management from a cost perspective
• Control the draw-down and run-down of contingency budgets
• Support project close-out activities, including asset activation and commercial close-out
• Provide guidance and support to other cost engineers as needed

What do we ask?

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience as a Cost Engineer on large (>250M CHF) pharmaceutical projects within EPCm organizations
• Client-side experience within the pharma industry is an advantage
• Excellent command of English; German is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills, able to interpret complex/large data sets and draw conclusions
• Knowledge of SAP, SAP Ariba and/or Oracle Primavera Unifier is a plus
• Experience with EPCC-type contracts within pharmaceutical projects
• Able to operate in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
