Adfinis AG in Bern is seeking a Senior System Engineer to lead challenging customer projects, acting as the single point of contact for key SLAs. You will manage complex cloud/on-premises platforms, drive DevOps practices, and mentor teammates in a fast-paced, open-source culture.

The role emphasizes security, network design, and automation, with a strong emphasis on modern cloud-native tooling and collaboration with stakeholders across client organizations.

Qualifikationen

• Five to eight years of experience as a system engineer in cloud environments.
• Strong DevOps background with CNCF and HashiCorp stacks, GitLab, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, DevSecOps, IaC, and GitOps.
• Broad experience in software development, cloud migration, and platform engineering.
• Strong networking skills and the ability to translate advanced concepts into smart network designs.
• Ability to identify security vulnerabilities early and address them effectively.
• Expertise in improving automations and building new ones to enhance operations.
• A sound understanding of how to align technology, architecture, and business requirements in complex customer environments.

Aufgaben

• Act as the technical lead on complex projects, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Lead technical discussions with demanding stakeholders, align expectations, and turn ambiguity into clear next steps.
• Anticipate organizational and delivery risks, and address them early through structured communication in complex, high-pressure customer environments.
• Manage complex, critical systems, apply updates, and resolve incidents to keep them on track.
• Plan and implement sophisticated (multi-)cloud or on-premises platforms.
• Provide comprehensive support, tackle high-priority issues, and assist junior and professional team members in critical situations.
