Job summary

UBS Card Center AG is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design and implement cloud infrastructure for SaaS and PaaS in a regulated banking environment. You will join the Cloud Center of Excellence to shape architectures on Azure and AWS, focusing on security, observability, and scalable platforms.

This role emphasizes hybrid cloud, Landing Zones, IaC, GitOps, and DevSecOps with day-2 operations, to empower developers and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong quality and responsibility awareness and excellent communication skills (English, would be a plus)
• Hands-on experience in operating Cloud applications in a production environment (Azure/AWS)
• Familiar with Landing Zones, GitOps, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, Access Management, Observability
• Understanding of the high regulatory requirements in the banking/credit card environment (PCI/DSS, Data Residency)

Responsibilities

• Implementation of cloud infrastructure for SaaS & PaaS usage according to regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Shape and implement the hybrid Cloud platform architecture blueprint including identity management, observability and security for Azure and AWS landing zones

Your team

As part of the new "Cloud Center of Excellence" team in the IT Ressort of UBS Card Center AG you will shape our journey to the Cloud by defining and implementing technical blueprints.

Your responsibilities

• Implementation of cloud infrastructure for SaaS & PaaS usage according to regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Shape and implement the hybrid Cloud platform architecture blueprint including identity management, observability and security for Azure and AWS landing zones
• Establish best practise for automating the provisioning of Cloud resources and workloads including day-2 operations
• Implement PoCs, maintain technical documentation and support application developers to get to the Cloud

Your expertise

• University degree in (Business) Informatics or similar - or comparable higher education (University of Applied Sciences)
• Strong quality and responsibility awareness and excellent communication skills (English, would be a plus)
• Hands-on experience in operating Cloud applications in a production environment (Azure/AWS)
• Familiar with concepts like Landing Zones, GitOps, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, Access Management, Observability (and versed in using corresponding products)
• Understanding of the high regulatory requirements in the banking/credit card environment (PCI/DSS, Data Residency)
