Zusammenfassung

CTC Resourcing Solutions is seeking a Senior Category Buyer to own the Automation Procurement category in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment in Basel. The role combines category management, supplier management, technical procurement and complex negotiations.

You will drive CAPEX-aligned sourcing strategies, collaborate with engineering and IT/OT teams, and manage relationships with OEMs and system integrators to optimize TCO and risk mitigation.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of procurement experience in technical/industrial environments.
• Strong experience in Category Management and strategic sourcing.
• Proven expertise in supplier management and complex negotiations.
• Experience working in CAPEX / project-driven environments.
• Technical background in process, chemical, mechanical engineering or automation is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical / GMP environment is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical, commercial and strategic mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder management in a multinational environment.
• Experience with SAP and Ariba.
• Engineering, Procurement or Supply Chain degree / equivalent experience.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.
• High level of ownership, proactivity and delivery focus.

Aufgaben

• Own and develop the Automation Procurement category strategy.
• Manage procurement of automation equipment, systems, software, services, spare parts and lifecycle support.
• Develop sourcing strategies, preferred suppliers and framework agreements.
• Lead complex supplier selection, negotiations and contracting.
• Manage relationships with automation OEMs, system integrators and specialist suppliers.
• Optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and identify cost/value creation opportunities.
• Support CAPEX and manufacturing projects from design through procurement, commissioning and handover.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Automation, IT/OT, Quality, Validation and Project teams.
• Manage supplier performance, commercial risks, obsolescence and lifecycle requirements.
• Contribute to technology standardization, supplier consolidation and risk mitigation.
