Angst+Pfister is seeking a Senior CAE Engineer to provide advanced CAE services and technical support across product groups in an international setting. You will perform non-linear FEA/FSI simulations with leading tools and help design molding processes for antivibration and sealing products.

You will calibrate material models through physical tests, collaborate with global teams, and mentor new engineers while contributing to engineering meetings and training sessions.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with FEA/CFD focus is required.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in advanced CAE simulation (Abaqus, Fe-Safe, Linux HPC CAE scheduling).
• Experience calibrating/validating diverse material models (elastomers, plastics, metals, adhesives, brittle materials) through physical testing.
• Experience with Universal Testing Machines, DMA, and Digital Image Correlation is desirable.
• DFM and virtual simulation to optimize manufacturability and reduce design-to-production costs.
• Background in CFD, mold design and elastomer characterization tests is a plus.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin; German a plus.

• Calibrate, verify and validate material models through physical testing.
• Collaborate with international teams, deliver engineering presentations and technical trainings/seminars to customers or internal parties, actively participate and contribute to engineering meetings, and act as coach for new employees or students.
• Support marketing activities with engineering documentation for catalogues, brochures and product-application magazine articles.

What You Do

YOUR PROFILE

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with focus on FEA or CFD is required. PhD in Mechanical Engineering with same focus is a plus.
• Hands-on background (3+ years) in advanced CAE simulation (e.g. Abaqus, Fe-Safe and Linux HPC CAE job scheduling) gained in a cross-cultural and international environment.
• Experience in the calibration, verification, and validation of diverse material models - including elastomers, plastics, metals, soft adhesives, and brittle materials - through physical testing. Further experience in testing using Universal Testing Machines, Dynamic Mechanical Analysis and Digital Image Correlation is desired.
• Expertise in leveraging DFM principles alongside virtual simulation to optimize manufacturability, minimize material waste, and reduce overall design-to-production costs.
• Background in CFD, mold design, molding processes, process development and elastomers characterization tests is a plus.
• Ability to promote continuous improvement while achieving the desired results.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Professional fluency in English and Mandarin is required. German language is a plus.
