Job summary

EPAM Systems in the Zurich area is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Data Applications) to lead governance across data services, bridging business and technology. You will align across Platform, Applications, BI, and Integration while guiding a team of BAs.

You will drive requirements discovery with senior stakeholders, review stories and acceptance criteria, and ensure traceability for regulatory and strategic initiatives. Strong GenAI and SQL familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in business analysis, including senior/lead capacity.
• Proven track record managing complex, multi-domain requirements on data/platform delivery projects.
• Expertise in requirements governance and traceability across large-scale programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation with senior leadership.
• Experience using GenAI tools for requirement management.

Responsibilities

• Own requirements strategy and governance across Data Services domains (Platform, Applications, BI, Infrastructure, Integration).
• Lead complex requirement discovery sessions with business stakeholders and leadership.
• Review and approve user stories and acceptance criteria before backlog entry.
• Ensure requirement traceability and assess change impacts for high-priority scope or regulatory changes.
• Mentor and guide BA teams, defining standards and best practices.
