Job summary

EPAM Systems in Lausanne, Switzerland, seeks a Senior Application Architect for the Commercial & Origination Portfolio to design and govern customer-facing sales and pricing applications. Expect on-site work with cross-country agile teams across Switzerland, Spain and India to align architecture with business goals.

The role requires 10+ years in architecture, strong governance, and hands-on experience with AWS, JavaScript or Python, and SaaS integrations.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in application engineering or solution architecture.
Experience with energy markets and trading applications is a plus.
Hands-on experience with full-stack JavaScript or Python and modern web/backend stacks.

Responsibilities

Act as senior technical reference for the commercial and origination application portfolio.
Define and govern application architecture and technology choices in line with client design principles.
Support Build and Run teams in managing priorities and quality.
Build and maintain relationships with senior client stakeholders across IT and commercial leadership.
Ensure technical governance through design reviews, standards adherence and technical debt management.
Support business cases for portfolio investments with effort, risk and option analysis.
Manage escalations for high-impact incidents and delivery risks within the portfolio.
