Job summary

Artefact, a leading data and AI strategy firm, seeks a Senior Technical Consultant / Senior AI Engineer to lead AI and data solution design from concept to production. You will guide cross-disciplinary teams, build scalable pipelines, and drive client value across data, ML/LLM, and governance domains.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to pre-sales, and ensure delivery standards while working from our Romandie offices in Lausanne/Geneva.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in data/ML/AI engineering or adjacent roles, with end-to-end delivery of production AI systems.
• Expert Python; solid software engineering (testing, packaging, CI/CD); SQL knowledge.
• Hands-on with ML/DL and LLMs (prompting, fine-tuning/LoRA, embeddings, RAG, evaluation, observability).
• Cloud experience deploying secure, scalable services (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
• Experience with containerization, Git, pipelines, model serving, and vector databases.

Responsibilities

• Own solution architecture & delivery: define end-to-end architectures, make build/buy decisions, and drive projects from PoC to production with reliability and cost in mind.
• Lead PoCs & pilots: scope, prototype, validate AI/ML use cases, and convert pilots into scalable products.
• Advanced programming & modeling: build and evaluate ML/DL/LLM models using Python tools and libraries.
• Cloud & MLOps/LLMOps: design and operate solutions on major cloud platforms, including CI/CD and model serving.
• Client advisory & stakeholder management: translate business goals into technical roadmaps and manage risks.
