Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking an experienced AI Engineer for Bain AI, Insights & Solutions (AIS) in Zürich, Switzerland. You will build and ship generative AI systems within Bain's client work, moving from prototyping to production deployment, collaborating with senior engineers, product managers, and data scientists.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, scalable architectures, and responsible AI practices, with three days per week on-site and travel as projects require.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in software/ML engineering with hands-on AI builds.
• Shipping generative AI features end-to-end.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy generative AI systems and agentic solutions.
• Lead multi-component AI pipelines including RAG and fine-tuning.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, ethics, and infra teams.
• Mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge on RAG, agents, and AI safety.
