Job summary

Sonar is building a platform to automate and secure AI-assisted software development across our global hubs, including Geneva. As a Major Incident Manager you will design secure AWS foundations, automate operations, and lead on-call responses to ensure reliability.

You will collaborate with Systems Engineering, IT Ops and Information Security, pushing for observable, auditable change and fast recovery in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cloud/platform/DevOps in SaaS/enterprise.
• Strong AWS design, IAM, networking, monitoring and security controls.
• Code-based infrastructure and automated CI/CD delivery.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python/TypeScript/Go).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design secure AWS foundations using IaC and automated pipelines.
• Develop tooling to automate operations and improve self-service.
• Use AI-enabled tooling to enhance delivery with governance.
• Define monitoring, SLIs/SLOs, and runbooks for reliability.
• Lead incident response, RCAs, and preventative actions.
• Lead resilience exercises and document engineering actions.
• Provide technical leadership and influence service boundaries.
