Job summary

SonarSource in Geneva seeks a Platform Engineer to design, develop, and operate cloud-based solutions. You will build massively scalable services on AWS, automate operations, measure service quality, and ease life of other developers.

You will join cross-functional teams, define new cloud designs, and ensure solutions fit the Sonar platform, with SLOs and incident response. Relocation is possible; Geneva-based role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with architecting, developing, and operating cloud solutions on AWS for Web/API applications.
• Knowledge of core AWS services and networking.
• Proficiency in IaC tools (CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform/OpenTofu).
• Experience with Python, Java, or C# and scripting (Bash).
• On-call experience and agile/DevOps mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and operate cloud solutions on AWS with focus on automation, performance, scalability and cost-efficiency.
• Define novel cloud solution designs and lead their development.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver new features into production.
• Ensure solutions fit into the Sonar platform and collaborate with squads.
• Define and uphold SLOs, investigate alarms and respond to incidents to maintain high service quality.
