Job summary

Sonar in Geneva, Switzerland is seeking a platform engineer to design and develop cloud-based solutions on AWS, focusing on automation, scalability, and reliable operations.

You will join cross-functional squads with backend, frontend, SRE, and other CPEs to deliver features into production and ensure alignment with the Sonar platform, defining SLOs and maintaining service quality. Geneva-based with relocation available.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience architecting, developing, and operating AWS cloud solutions for Web/API applications.
  • Experience with IaC using AWS CDK (preferred), CloudFormation or Terraform/OpenTofu.
  • Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C# or similar.
  • Experience with at least one scripting language such as Bash or similar.
  • Experience with on-call for operating global services.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Strong DevOps mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and operate cloud solutions on AWS with a focus on automation, high performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Lead the definition and development of novel cloud solution designs.
  • Work in sprints with backend, frontend, SRE, and other CPEs to deliver new features into production.
  • Collaborate with other squads to ensure solutions fit into the Sonar platform.
  • Contribute to operating services by defining and upkeeping SLOs, investigating alarms and responding to incidents to maintain high service quality.
