Job summary

Rigby AG in Zürich seeks an experienced securities settlement specialist to manage global FOP transfers of equities, bonds, and funds, using SWIFT MT540/542 and related channels.

You will investigate settlement issues, coordinate with custodians and counterparties, and drive timely resolution of discrepancies. Strong MS Office skills are required; SIS Portal/CBL Xact experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of securities settlement and post-trade operations, including mandatory expertise in SWIFT 54x message types (MT540, MT541, MT542, MT543).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor global free-of-payment (FOP) securities transfers.
• Investigate and exchange settlement-related information with counterparties via email.
• Issue settlement instructions to custodians/central securities depositories using SWIFT MT540/542 messages and other channels.
• Monitor outstanding transactions and resolve pending cases, discrepancies, and settlement issues.
• Handle inquiries and claims from counterparties, custodians, and internal stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies, including position breaks, transaction taxes, and fees, and related booking/reconciliation activities.
• Manage the team's shared mailbox and telephone hotline, and distribute work assignments.

• Process, instruct, and monitor global free-of-payment (FOP) securities transfers involving equities, bonds, and standard investment funds.
• Investigate and exchange settlement-related information with counterparties via email.
• Issue settlement instructions to domestic and international custodians/central securities depositories using SWIFT MT540/542 messages and other communication channels.
• Monitor outstanding transactions and proactively resolve pending cases, discrepancies, and settlement issues.
• Handle and respond to inquiries and claims from counterparties, custodians, and internal stakeholders.
• Independently investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies, including position breaks, transaction taxes, and fees, as well as related booking and reconciliation activities.
• Manage the team's shared mailbox and telephone hotline, including responding to inquiries and distributing work assignments as appropriate.

Must-have criteria

• Detailed knowledge of securities settlement and post-trade operations, including mandatory expertise in SWIFT 54x message types (MT540, MT541, MT542, MT543).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Nice-to-have criteria
