Job summary

Nicoll Curtin is seeking an experienced Securities Transfer Specialist to join a Zurich-based operations team. You will process and monitor global transfers, issue settlement instructions to custodians/CDSs, and work with SWIFT MT540–MT543 messages to resolve settlement issues.

Fluency in German and English is required. Experience with SIS Portal, BBH Infuse, and Clearstream Xact is advantageous, and the role involves coordination with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of securities settlement and post-trade operations.
• Hands-on experience with SWIFT MT540/541/542/543.
• Experience handling settlement discrepancies, reconciliations and post-trade issues.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Experience with SIS Portal, BBH Infuse and Clearstream Xact is advantageous.

Job description

Are you an experienced Securities Transfer Specialist with strong knowledge of securities settlement and post-trade operations?

We are currently supporting a leading financial institution with a requirement for a Securities Transfer Specialist to join its operations team in Zurich.

Responsibilities

• Process, instruct and monitor global free-of-payment (FOP) securities transfers across equities, bonds and standard investment funds.
• Issue settlement instructions to domestic and international custodians and central securities depositories.
• Work with SWIFT MT540-MT543 messages and other settlement communication channels.
• Monitor outstanding transactions and proactively resolve pending settlements, discrepancies and settlement issues.
• Investigate settlement breaks, including position differences, transaction taxes and fees.
• Perform related booking and reconciliation activities.
• Communicate with counterparties, custodians and internal stakeholders regarding settlement-related matters.
• Manage inquiries and claims via email, shared mailbox and telephone hotline.
• Support the allocation and coordination of daily team activities.

Requirements

• Detailed knowledge of securities settlement and post-trade operations.
• Mandatory hands-on expertise with SWIFT MT540, MT541, MT542 and MT543.
• Experience handling settlement discrepancies, reconciliations and post-trade issues.
• Fluent German and English.
• Experience with SIS Portal, BBH Infuse and Clearstream Xact (CBL Xact) is advantageous.
