Job summary

Experis Switzerland in Zurich is seeking an experienced professional for the role of Securities Settlement Specialist. You will process, monitor, and coordinate global FOP securities transfers, ensuring accuracy across equities, bonds, and standard funds.

The ideal candidate has detailed knowledge of settlement and post-trade operations, expert SWIFT MT540/541/542/543 skills, and strong MS Office experience.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of securities settlement and post-trade operations.
• Mandatory expertise in SWIFT 54x message types (MT540, MT541, MT542, MT543).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with SIS Portal, BBH Infuse, and Clearstream Xact (CBL Xact).

Responsibilities

• Process, instruct, and monitor global free-of-payment (FOP) securities transfers involving equities, bonds, and standard investment funds.
• Investigate and exchange settlement-related information with counterparties via email.
• Issue settlement instructions to domestic and international custodians and central securities depositories using SWIFT MT540/542 messages and other communication channels.
• Monitor outstanding transactions and proactively resolve pending cases, discrepancies, and settlement issues.
• Handle and respond to inquiries and claims from counterparties, custodians, and internal stakeholders.
• Independently investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies, including position breaks, transaction taxes, and fees, as well as related booking and reconciliation activities.
• Manage the team's shared mailbox and telephone hotline, including responding to inquiries and distributing work assignments as appropriate.
