Yolk Recruitment Ltd is representing a major Swiss organization seeking a Head of SAP / SAP Services Director to lead a large S/4HANA transformation. You will own the SAP function, shape the strategy, and guide delivery across SAP, CRM, and ERP landscapes.

The role combines leadership, people management and governance, engaging with senior stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful transformation across Finance, Supply Chain and Order-to-Cash.

Head of SAP / SAP Services Director - S/4HANA Transformation

Location: Bern or Zurich, Switzerland
Type: Permanent

We are supporting a leading Swiss organisation through a major SAP S/4HANA transformation and are looking for an experienced Head of SAP / SAP Services Leader to take ownership of the SAP function and help shape the organisation's future technology landscape.

This is a strategic leadership position combining SAP function leadership, people management, service delivery and business transformation. You will provide direction to the SAP team, establish clear ownership and priorities, and act as the senior interface between SAP, business functions, external partners and the wider transformation programme.

The Role

You will lead and develop the SAP Services organisation, including SAP professionals and Business Analysts, while ensuring the function delivers against business priorities.

The transformation currently spans Finance, Supply Chain and Order-to-Cash, with further manufacturing capabilities expected to come into scope. A strong understanding of SD/MM and Logistics is important, alongside the ability to take a holistic view across CRM, Finance, Supply Chain and ERP.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and develop the overall SAP strategy, roadmap and service delivery model.
• Lead, mentor and develop the SAP Services team and Business Analysts.
• Establish clear responsibilities, priorities and governance across the SAP function.
• Act as the senior SAP point of contact for business leadership and transformation stakeholders.
• Oversee SAP solution delivery across Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics and OTC.
• Bring strong SAP SD/MM and Logistics expertise to the function.
• Own the end-to‑end Order‑to‑Cash perspective, ensuring effective integration between CRM and ERP.
• Provide strategic oversight of S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition adoption and transformation.
• Ensure effective integration across SAP, CRM/Salesforce and wider enterprise applications.
• Manage external implementation partners and ensure delivery quality and accountability.
• Drive standardisation, SAP best practices and clean-core principles.
• Oversee major transformation activities including design, testing, migration, cutover and go-live.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation and digitalisation.
• Support the continued development and maturity of the SAP organisation.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience leading an SAP function, SAP Services team or equivalent.
• Proven people leadership and experience managing SAP professionals and Business Analysts.
• Strong SAP transformation and S/4HANA experience.
• Solid SD/MM, Logistics and OTC knowledge.
• Understanding of how SAP integrates across CRM, Finance and Supply Chain.
• Experience with S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition is highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management at senior business and executive level.
• Experience managing systems integrators, vendors and external partners.
• Strategic mindset combined with sufficient SAP functional depth to challenge and guide solution decisions.
• Strong communication skills in English and German.
