Zusammenfassung

Médecins Sans Frontières Switzerland in Geneva is recruiting a Safeguarding Lead to drive the operational safeguarding program across all projects, ensuring prevention, detection, reporting and response are embedded in day-to-day operations. You will work with the Safeguarding Unit to implement the Mission Behavior Fundamentals and coordinate safeguarding across programmes.

This role requires 5–10 years of humanitarian project management, strong policy and risk-management skills, fluent English

Qualifikationen

• Education: Master Degree or equivalent in a field relevant to this profile (e.g. law, social or organisational sciences, psychology, social work).
• Experience: 5 to 10 years in humanitarian project management; similar validated experience in technical expertise in related field.
• Languages: Fluency in English and French required; knowledge of another language is an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Lead the operational implementation of safeguarding across all programs, embedding safeguarding principles, risk assessments, and mitigation.
• Guide and support program teams in developing and monitoring Mission Behavior Fundamentals for safe recruitment and programming.
• Mobilise flying teams and provide safeguarding support for rollout of priorities and coordination with operations.
• Develop a program support model with locally appointed safeguarding resources at project and coordination levels.
• Ensure local resources are supported by coordination and safeguarding referents through technical guidance.
• Align safeguarding efforts with OCG positioning, technical standards, and organizational priorities.
• Work with deployed safeguarding staff and country teams to produce detailed country-level analyses informing decisions.
• Represent the Operations Directorate in meetings requiring safeguarding input and coordinate related activities.
