Zusammenfassung

MSF Switzerland in Geneva is seeking a Case Management Lead within the Safeguarding Unit to ensure timely, professional handling of complaints and reports. You will oversee case managers, provide strategic guidance, coordinate with internal committees, and drive risk mitigation and process improvements.

This is a full-time, open-ended role with a 100% workload, a Swiss pension plan, 25 vacation days, and starts as soon as possible.

Qualifikationen

  • 3 years of experience in Case Management supervision or in the conduct of administrative investigations.
  • Experience in Humanitarian NGO is an asset.

Aufgaben

  • Ensure that all reported complaints received by the teams are addressed and handled in accordance with the protocols in place
  • Coordinate all communications relating to case management, guaranteeing effective information sharing and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that strategic and technical advice is provided to case managers and other parties involved
  • Ensure decision making and application of any risk mitigating measures.
  • Coordinate sharing of the case management outcomes with the relevant Committees part of the OCG governance and support the follow-up of decisions taken with the operational line and affected parties.
  • Oversee the work of MSF case managers and investigation teams, providing the level of support, coaching needed
  • Conduct administrative investigation when need be or when delegated by the head of the safeguarding unit
  • Develop recommendations for continuous improvement, submitting these to the Head of the Safeguarding Unit to strengthen case management processes, performance, reliability.

Context & mission

OCG is strengthening its institutional safeguarding capacity. As part of this evolution, the former Abuse and Behavior Unit will become the Safeguarding Unit, reflecting MSF’s commitment to the four pillars of safeguarding: prevention, detection, reporting, and response.

The Safeguarding Unit will be reinforced by two Safeguarding Advisors and a Case Management Lead. The Safeguarding Advisors will provide technical expertise and support departments in developing policies, tools, and solutions that advance safeguarding objectives.

The Case Management Lead is responsible for ensuring the timely, effective, and high-quality management of complaints and reports received by the unit concerning allegations of abuse against persons, as well as fraud and corruption.

The Case Management Lead oversees the day-to-day administrative case management related to alerts and complaints received by the organisation. This role ensure that MSF Standards of Case Management are followed and all reports concerned are addressed with professionalism and in a timely manner. The role includes directly managing reporting and complaints, while overseeing and providing guidance to the case management team to ensure the timely, consistent, and high-quality handling of all cases. This role serves as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration throughout the case management process to ensure its timely and successful completion. This role involves prioritising the investigation work of the case manager teams and providing strategic and technical guidance to support effective case management decision making.

Education

Experience

  • Experience in Humanitarian NGO is an asset.

Languages

  • English and French are the working languages of MSF Switzerland. They are essential.
  • Arabic, Swahili, Spanish languages are an asset

Terms of employment
  • Full-time position 100% (40h/week)
  • Open-ended contract

  • Gross annual salary (for 100%): from CHF 102’180.- to CHF 116’484.- (salary commensurate with equivalent experience and internal salary grid)
  • Paid vacation: 25 days per year, prorate temporis, plus any Swiss public holidays falling within the contract period.
  • Pension plan: pension contribution covered 3/4 by MSF, 1/4 by staff member.
