Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Senior Accountant (US GAAP) based remotely in Switzerland. You will support US CPA practices with full-cycle accounting, GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end close for multi‑entity clients.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of accounting, strong US GAAP knowledge, and CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent. Excellent English and a client‑facing mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional accounting experience.
• 2+ years in a US CPA firm or practice.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge; IFRS-only not eligible.
• CPA/CA/ACCA/SAICA or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent English communication with US clients.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting and general ledger maintenance.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank, credit card, and balance sheet; resolve discrepancies.
• Execute month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, trial balances).
• Support sales tax filings and regulatory compliance across multiple entities.
• Communicate with US-based clients to address accounting questions and provide professional support.
