Job summary

Batgroup is seeking a dedicated Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting tasks in Switzerland. You will ensure accuracy of financial records, support tax compliance (Swiss VAT, Swiss OR), and contribute to monthly close and reporting.

The role requires 5–10 years of accounting experience, fluency in French and English, and a strong ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with ERP systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in a fast-paced corporate, startup, or scale-up environment
• Solid understanding of Swiss accounting principles (Swiss OR)
• Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
• Experience with ERP/accounting software and BI tools

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger with accurate entries
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts
• Assist month-end and year-end close with accruals and prepayments
• Assist in Swiss VAT returns and compliance with local regulations
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
• Identify process improvements to automate and strengthen controls
