Job summary

Jobgether SRL is partnering with a Swiss-based company to recruit an experienced Accountant (m/f/d) for its German entities within an international software group. The role is fully remote and focuses on German GAAP, VAT, and cross-entity accounting with collaboration from external advisors and payroll providers.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of German accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a professional accounting qualification.

Qualifications

• Hands-on responsibility for German accounting under HGB and German tax rules.
• Experience with VAT filings and statutory reporting.
• Proficient with Excel and financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for German entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures and journal entries.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist with financial reporting.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and investigate discrepancies.
• Support German VAT filings and payroll tax declarations with external advisors.
• Assist with annual financial statements under HGB and statutory audits.
