Job summary

Sobi is seeking a Regional Medical Excellence Associate Director/Director to lead Europe medical strategy and engage key opinion leaders. The role is fully remote and travel is expected up to 30% across Europe, with responsibilities spanning medical affairs, dashboards, and regional planning.

Based in Europe, you will drive cross-functional initiatives, develop training and development programs, and collaborate with country Medical Directors to optimize regional medical activities and launch

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor, pharmaceutical or biomedical degree or equivalent by experience.
• Minimum 10 years experience in pharma, with at least 4 years in Medical Affairs or related field (Rare Diseases preferred).
• Experience in Rare diseases and Nephrology; cardiometabolic experience preferred.
• Field leadership experience including people management, training and coaching.
• Strong leadership skills and credibility in a medical environment.
• Strong business acumen, strategic and analytical thinking with execution capability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with relationship-building ability.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate open, solution-oriented discussions; drive innovation and leadership.
• This role is fully remote and can be located anywhere in Europe and requires travelling 30% of time.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of Europe Region Medical strategies and tactics.
• Provide European Medical team with insights and update the KOL engagement plan with high-value scientific programs.
• Work with country teams to standardize and drive excellence in planning and execution of medical activities.
• Consolidate dashboards, monitor KPIs and metrics, elaborate launch reports with actionable insights.
• Support country Medical Director in identifying improvements and developing people and capabilities.
• Support learning and development programs and personal development plans.
• Assist Region in setting up regional tactical medical plan and scientific objectives.
• Actively participate in cross-functional initiatives as voice of regional stakeholders.
• Support Region in due diligence and Global B&D programs with head of Region and cross-functional team.
