Revolution Medicines is a global oncology company focused on innovative GI cancer therapies. We are seeking a Director, Medical Affairs GI, Europe to lead regional medical strategy for pancreatic and colorectal cancers.

You will partner with Global Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams to drive evidence generation, publications, and launch readiness, while traveling across Europe to engage with national teams and stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

  • Advanced degree in a relevant medical or scientific field.
  • 10+ years in biotech/pharma and Medical Affairs.
  • Strong oncology expertise, esp. GI cancers.
  • Experience in European/global Medical Affairs roles in matrix organizations.
  • Hands-on in engagement, publications, medical communications, evidence generation, and launch readiness.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe.

Aufgaben

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Director, Medical Affairs GI, Europe, the Director, Medical Affairs GI, Europe provides strategic and operational medical leadership across the European region for the gastrointestinal oncology portfolio, with a primary focus on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and colorectal cancer. This role contributes to development and execution of the regional medical strategy in alignment with global objectives, ensuring scientific excellence, patient centricity, and compliance.

The position serves as a key medical partner to global teams, regional leadership, and external stakeholders and acts as a scientific expert in gastrointestinal oncology.

A key focus of the role is supporting upcoming launches and launch readiness activities across Europe.

Partner closely with European country medical teams to assess and address local market needs, identify strategic and capability gaps, and synthesize insights to inform regional medical priorities, evidence generation plans, and execution strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and lead execution of the Regional GI Medical Strategy, including scientific engagement, evidence generation, internal education, medical communications, and patient advocacy initiatives.
  • Act as a strategic partner to Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, Commercial, Regulatory, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Translate global GI medical strategy into impactful regional plans aligned with European market needs and scientific priorities.
  • Provide European medical input into clinical development programs, publication planning, real-world evidence generation, biomarker strategies, and scientific communication activities.
  • Partner with European country teams to assess local medical needs, identify gaps and opportunities, and support insight gathering and synthesis to ensure regional strategies reflect country-level priorities and stakeholder perspectives.
  • Serve as a medical expert in gastrointestinal oncology, ensuring high scientific, ethical, and compliance standards.
  • Contribute to launch readiness and pre-launch planning for GI assets.
  • Lead or support scientific exchange activities including advisory boards, congresses, investigator interactions and medical education initiatives.
  • Represent Medical Affairs in cross-functional team meetings.
  • Contribute to RWE, HEOR, biomarker and companion diagnostic strategies.
  • Collaborate with Patient Advocacy and Grants teams.
  • Support publications, abstracts, manuscripts and scientific communications.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, pharmacovigilance, compliance and medical governance requirements.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) in a relevant medical/scientific field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry and/or clinical oncology practice, with significant Medical Affairs experience.
  • Strong scientific expertise in oncology, preferably gastrointestinal malignancies including pancreatic and colorectal cancers.
  • Strong understanding of precision medicine and targeted therapies.
  • Experience in European, regional, or global Medical Affairs roles within matrix organizations.
  • Hands-on experience across scientific engagement, publications, medical communications, evidence generation, and launch readiness.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe and attend major international congresses.
Preferred Skills:
  • Established network with GI oncology healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
  • Experience supporting oncology product launches in Europe.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
