Job summary

Partner Company is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer based in Switzerland to own and evolve our CI/CD platform, including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and a scalable IaC stack across AWS. You will drive security, reliability, and developer productivity in a multinational engineering team.

You will shape platform architecture, lead modernization efforts, and improve observability, with strong emphasis on cloud security, GitOps, and automated delivery pipelines.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on AWS production experience.
• Deep CI/CD expertise with GitHub Actions/Jenkins and automation.
• Strong Terraform and reusable pattern knowledge.
• Kubernetes/Amazon EKS, Helm, and GitOps with ArgoCD.
• Security-first mindset: IAM, least privilege, secrets mgmt.
• Ability to design scalable, reliable platforms under changing constraints.
• Proven incident management and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the CI/CD platform and migration efforts.
• Define scalable platform architecture and cost-aware decisions.
• Implement IaC across AWS using Terraform/Terragrunt/Terramate.
• Build secure pipelines with guardrails and production approvals.
• Strengthen cloud security and least-privilege controls.
• Support Kubernetes infrastructure with EKS, Helm, ArgoCD.
• Shape observability with Grafana/Prometheus and Backstage.
• Improve developer experience and internal tooling.
• Refactor Terraform modules and pipelines for quality and consistency.
• Investigate incidents and implement long-term fixes.
• Develop automation and self-service tooling for productivity.
