Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering preferred.
• Strong knowledge across civil engineering specialties (structural, geotechnical, transportation, environmental, construction management, fluids, urban planning, materials).
• Ability to assess problems involving structural design, finite element analysis, hydrology, CAD-based planning.
• Excellent written communication and a methodical, detail-oriented approach to testing and documenting errors.

Responsibilities

• Test AI models using practical field scenarios and theoretical questions across civil engineering disciplines.
• Evaluate responses on structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, transportation systems, environmental engineering, construction management, fluid mechanics, urban planning, and materials science.
• Verify factual accuracy, engineering principles, calculations, and logical consistency of model-generated solutions.
• Identify and document model failure modes, including inaccuracies, flawed assumptions, and gaps in reasoning.
• Capture reproducible error traces and provide clear explanations of incorrect or incomplete responses.
• Recommend improvements to prompts, evaluation criteria, and testing methods to strengthen model performance.
• Communicate technical reasoning with transparent steps, assumptions, and supporting evidence.
